    • When level of polychlorinated biphenyl exceeds 0.5 mg/kg: We correspond to a very small amount of PCB mixture transformer.

01.About the handling of used transformer

03.About attention in maintenance (absorbent paper handling work by oil exchange, lubrication)

  • 1) In the case of transformer with apparatus that a very small amount of PCB mixture was confirmed and the possibility

    When we maintain, we would like the handling such as electric insulating oil used for apparatus as follows.

    • Oil which we pulled out by oil exchange work can enter container which we sealed up and keeps according to "about the storage" mentioned above.

    • We keep tools for appliance, waste, rubber gloves which we used for extraction work of oil and polluted protection according to "about the storage" mentioned above. In addition, we treat about case to include oil which we pulled out for investigation equally.

  • 2) In the case of use of PCB transformer

    Please do not perform oil exchange work to make nonproliferation and detoxification handling of pollution difficult.

About the related law

The handling that followed law that is currently using and stop planned electric apparatus warns use enough in application (regulation) of law varying according to the situation of transformer and is related, please.

When a very small amount of PCB mixture transformer is confirmed use of PCB transformer, law ※3 ※Report according to 4 is necessary. When apparatus currently using is available continuously, but remove from electric circuit once, newly to electric circuit cannot be connected (※ 5).

In addition, about apparatus said to that we cannot completely deny possibility of PCB mixture, processing that is appropriate like PCB waste is necessary till it is confirmed not to contain PCB.

New regulation of use of highly-concentrated PCB electricity workpiece

Disposal in period of highly-concentrated PCB waste was decided in occupied time limit of use of highly-concentrated PCB electricity workpiece by laws and ordinances revision.

Electricity machine appliance using insulating oil including polychlorinated biphenyl and electric wire (OF cable) must not provide equipment 14 of Article 19 in electric circuit.

As for the above, the use of highly-concentrated PCB electricity workpiece in Kitakyusyu business area, provisional measure (use of old trade and industry departmental order No. 70 continuation) is prohibited from (April 1) on the next day of March 31, 2018, and 14 of departmental order Article 19 is applied. It is made regulation (electric report rule abolition report of relationships, PCB special measures law report) as PCB waste afterward.
